A needs assessment is a systematic process for determining and addressing needs, or "gaps" between current conditions and desired conditions or "wants". The discrepancy between the current condition and wanted condition must be measured to appropriately identify the need.
Pinnacle has yet to find a community that doesn’t need more sport and recreation facilities. Determining what those needs truly are, what groups or individuals have needs, and quantifying how much need exists is the basis of the needs assessment.
Pinnacle's needs assessments include, at a minimum:
- Comprehensive market research and statistical analysis including sports facility needs analysis, market feasibility study, sports tourism assessment or municipal needs assessment, depending on the project
- Client interview to determine project scope and pertinent data
- Market assessment of locations, competition, etc.
- Identification of potential user groups and product mix
- Interviews with appropriate individuals and user groups to determine community needs by sport and venue type (turf, courts, aquatics, outdoor recreation, etc.)
- Identification of local price-points and programming opportunities
- Presentation of an executive summary and full narrative report with appropriate attachments
- 3-5 days in market
